About this place
Just outside the Takanawa Exit of Shinagawa Station, Ramen Fujin stands out for its varied takes on sesame-rich dandan noodles. The house specialty builds upon seasoned minced meat, zhima sesame paste, and spicy chili oil. Beyond the classic soup-based noodle bowl, diners can choose brothless tantanmen that coats every strand in rich sauce, or dip chilled noodles into a concentrated sesame broth with the tantan tsukemen.
Alongside the noodle bowls, the handmade pan-fried dumplings merit an order. Filled with a meat mixture mixed fresh every morning and wrapped in custom skins crafted from 100% Prime Hard wheat flour, the gyoza make a natural companion to a chilled bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer. The broader menu also covers straightforward comfort dishes, including classic soy sauce ramen, wonton noodles, and chashu dipping noodles.
Seating centers on an open counter where diners place their orders directly with staff rather than through a ticket vending machine. Open from 10:30 in the morning straight through until 2:00 the next morning, it accommodates quick midday commuter lunches as smoothly as midnight dinners after work. In addition to cash, PayPay is accepted for payment.
